01What is JoSAA choice filling?
JoSAA (Joint Seat Allocation Authority) allocates IIT, NIT, IIIT and GFTI seats after JEE Main / Advanced. You submit a strict priority list; each round you receive the highest choice you are eligible for, from #1 downward.
02How is CSAB different from JoSAA?
CSAB (Central Seat Allocation Board) is for vacant NIT, IIIT and GFTI seats only—IITs are excluded. It often runs after JoSAA for seats that remained unfilled.
03Should I rank branch or college brand higher?
If discipline matters more than campus name, order branch families (e.g. CSE, ECE) above institute prestige within a similar college tier, and keep realistic backup options lower in the list.
